They absolutely crave cool conditions. They thrive best in temperatures between 10°C to 18°C (50°F to 65°F). Extreme summer heat causes the blooms to rapidly decline and sends the plant into dormancy.

Provide bright, indirect sunlight when grown indoors. If placed outdoors in early spring, look for a spot with morning sun and complete afternoon shade to shield the delicate petals.

Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Pericallis has zero drought tolerance; letting the soil dry out fully will cause dramatic wilting. Water at the base of the plant to keep the leaves and crown dry to avoid rot.
