Sow indoors.

Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil, 1-2mm deep. 

Place in a propagator or somewhere warm, ideal temp. 21-24°C. A steady temp. is required, if the temp. falls germination may take longer.

Germination is rapid, taking up to 3 weeks. Transplant seedlings to individual pots when large enough to handle.

 Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.
