Sow seeds 2 to 3 cm deep. This depth supports quick, even germination and strong early growth.
Plant spacing
Recommended spacing is 30 to 50 cm between rows and 3 to 5 cm between plants. This gives the roots room to develop evenly and helps plants stay strong and healthy.
Beetroot is excellent for boiling, roasting, pickling, fermenting, and juicing. The uniform, intensely red flesh looks outstanding in dishes and preserves and holds its colour well after cooking. It is also ideal for long storage, with roots remaining firm and flavoursome for an extended period.
